BANNER_LINKS variable must be set in the environment

Issue/Introduction

A Banner RA job fails with the following message in the jobs Applicaitons Manager output file (o file).

+ echo BANNER_LINKS variable must be set in the environment

+ process_exit

+ '[' true = true ']'

+ echo exit_process

+ rm /app/batch/appmgr/java-jobs//killPid.18518241

+ '[' -f /app/batch/appmgr/java-jobs//killing.18518241 ']'

+ exit 1

Environment

Release : 9.4. with Banner RA Agent

Cause

The BANNER_LINKS environment variable must be set for the Banner RA agent to successfully submit Banner jobs.

Resolution

The $BANNER_LINKS variable can be set in the banner agent environment script for the Banner Ra agent (default banev.sh). You can confirm where this file is located by editing the Banner agent in the Applications Manager client gui and navigating to the Banner tab. You will find the path location in the "Environment Source File" field.

The variable $BANNER_LINKS will need to include the path to the Banner programs reside.
