DX UIM generic_cluster custom probe alarms do not automatically clear

Issue/Introduction

We are receiving generic_cluster probe alarms. What is causing this and why don't they clear automatically?

Environment

• Release: DX UIM 20.4
• Probe: generic_cluster

Cause

• old, custom probe delivered through services

Resolution

• The generic_cluster probe was created back in 2010 as a generic 'probe profile failover' solution.

• It is custom and not a GA probe. It was created and supported through CA Field Services back in 2010.

• Purpose: The generic_cluster probe enabled Nimsoft (DX UIM) customers to move scripts from one robot to another in a failover situation.

• Basically, the probe checks one to many “clusters”, each consisting of a set of Nimsoft robots between which certain probe profiles are being switched during a failover situation.

• Note: Actually the probe uses the term “cluster” to define a group of Nimsoft robots that share a set of probes and configurations running in these probes.
