The user has VSAM data sets and they want to unload data using File Master Plus or the IBM IDCAMS REPRO command to a sequential data set.
They have VSAM data sets with more than 60 million records and would like to know if File Master Plus can do this kind of unload with better performance, less elapsed time during the process and less CPU consumption.

A1. Yes, the File Master Plus Copy command can unload data from a VSAM data set to a sequential file and can copy back from a sequential file to a VSAM data set.
Q2. Talking about performance, is File Master Plus better than IBM IDCAMS Repro utility?
A2. From a performance perspective, IDCAMS performs better than File Master Plus.

A3. For the sample size Engineering tested, they found:
IDCAMS takes 35%-40% less CPU than File Master Plus.
IDCAMS takes 20%-25% less elapsed time than File Master Plus.
