Running the ACF2 ACFRECVR Utility getting IEF861I/IEF863I Dataset Unavailable

Issue/Introduction

Running the ACFRECVR Utility to process the database update SMF records produced by ACF2 and forward merge them into the ACF2 VSAM database clusters to produce an up-to-date set of databases(recover database updates). Getting the following errors:

IEF863I DSN = SYS1.ACF2.INFOSTG ACFRECVR RC = 04 RSN = 00000000 FROM SERVICE ENQ

Resolution

The ACFRECVR utility cannot be run against databases that are actively in use. It can be run against either the primary or alternates as long as ACF2 is not actively using them. The ACFRECVR utility can be run when ACF2 is stopped.

The IEF861I will occur if the ACFRECVR utility is being run against ACF2 databases that are actively being used.
