The DLP Database Server and CPU usage

Issue/Introduction

Customer would like to understand the CPU and how many can be assigned to the DLP Database Server.  

Resolution

From Oracle: "Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 may only be licensed on servers that have a maximum capacity of 2 sockets. In addition, ... each Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 database may use a maximum of 16 CPU threads at any time."

While this is not a direct CPU limit, Oracle operationally restricting the CPU threads does create a specific limit for SE2.
