DBLINK ORA-22804 error message

Issue/Introduction

Unable to run the below query and getting error " 22804. 00000 -  "remote operations not permitted on object tables or user-defined type columns" or  ORA-22804: remote operations not permitted on object tables or user-defined type columns using any SQL clients 

SELECT * FROM INV_INVESTMENTS@PPMDBLINK

Environment

Release : All Supported clarity release 

Resolution

• Clarity schema has user defined columns example NK_*  whereas DWH schema doesn't have those
• In order to query explicit column names should be mentioned in the select query 
  • SELECT name, code FROM INV_INVESTMENTS@PPMDBLINK
