Issue/Introduction

Customers are requesting to install the third-party defender on the SpanVA appliance.

Environment

SpanVA 1.15.3.151.0 and prior 

Cause

Customers request root access to install the compliance-related software.

Resolution

CloudSOC does not provide root access to the SpanVA because root access may expose src-code is exposed thus creating additional risks.

Providing root access would also violate our supportability of the product and expose our IP.
