Issue/Introduction

 An IMS MPP region received a S0F8 abend. The region was restarted successfully. The IMS systems programmer opened an PMR with IBM. The dump indicates the abending program is WARPPCR4.

Cause

Date Simulator's WARPIMS utility was executed simultaneously with the IMS MPP region initialization. This led to Date Simulator hook being installed while the IMS MPP region was still initializing.  

Resolution

1) Modify the IMS startup to not execute WARPIMS or WARPPARM utility.

2) Run the WARPIMS and WARPPARM utility once IMS startup of all dependent regions have completed initialization.
