PAM-SEC-00017 When Saving a Secret

Issue/Introduction

When adding a secret to a vault in PAM, the following error occurs. Why is this error occurring?

PAM-SEC-00017: Invalid Secret Name . Name must consist of characters [a-z, A-Z, 0-9]

Environment

Privileged Access Manager 4.1.0-4.1.4

Cause

As of PAM 4.1.0-4.1.4, the Secret name can only contain letters, numbers, a hyphen (-), or an underscore (_).

This problem is fixed in 4.1.5+, see the following item on page Resolved Issues in 4.1.5:
