Issue/Introduction

Whan attempting to source the Applications Manager envinronement source file $AW_HOME/site/sosite, the script hangs and no return is seen in the command line prompt.

Environment

Release : 9.4.x

Cause

This issue can be caused by having an alias set for rm setting the command to intteractive mode rm -i. This then causes an interactive prompt when referenced in sqloper.ini file which is called by $AW_HOME/site/sosite. The commands requirement for user input causes the sosite file to hang.

Resolution

This can be resolved by removing the alias for rm = rm -i. This is commonly set in the user's .profile, however you will need to refer to system admin to confirm exactly where the alias is set.
