Access to ZOWE gateway failed with ERR_TIMED

Issue/Introduction

Installed zowe server, tried to access ZOWE gateway using "https://myhost:httpsPort" URL and got ERR_TIMED_OUT error:

Cause

The error ERR_TIMED_OUT means that browser could not establish a connection to the website's server in time. The problem may be internet connection, website server, browser, or firewall settings.

Resolution

Checked ZOWE main STC log - all components loaded successfully, server is ready.

Other user from the same organization can access ZOWE server using the same URL without any error.

Resolution:

Reach out to network team in the organization and adjust firewall/VPN setting to fix zowe server access issue.
