How to use a specific IP address as an outbound IP in Edge SWG (ProxySG)
Environment
When you have added the virtual IP address in the Edge SWG and you want to use a specific virtual ip as an outbound IP from the Edge SWG to internet
Resolution
1 Go to Configuration > Network > Advance
2. Click on VIPs
3 Add New and enter the Ip address.
In the following snap, you can see I have added one IP address 10.0.80.83 as VIP
4. Go to Configuration > Policy > VPM
> Create a new forwarding layer.
> Add rule
> You can set the source and destination and service as per your requirement
> In the action tab you can set reflect Ip and you can give the virtual Ip address as a proxy IP
> Here in this example I want to use virtual IP as the outbound Ip of proxy Sg when it goes to the example.com URL.
5 install the policy.
Test:
When i have browse URL: http://example.com i have taken the pcap on the proxy you can see in the pcap the source IP address is now 10.0.80.83 instead of the 10.0.80.80
In the policy trace you can also see the outbound host as follows:
