Issue/Introduction

Why do I receive some messages with plain text annotations and some with HTML annotation?

Resolution

When browsing to Content > Annotations, there are 2 options for annotation text: a) Plain Text (required) and b) HTML (optional):

1. The plain text annotation will be added to the message if the email's body does not contain any HTML content.
2. The HTML annotation will be added to the message if the body of the message contains HTML content.

Note: If only a Plain Text annotation is created and the message includes HTML content, SMG might convert the Plain Text annotation into HTML format.
