Issue/Introduction

We are trying to send a file from AS/400 to the Windows system, but the transfer fails with message: Txpi 211: Socket connect error return value = 3425

 

Environment

Release : 11.0

XCOM for iSeries(AS/400)

Cause

The return value is returned to XCOM by TCPIP, in this case RV=3245 is ECONNREFUSED, meaning that the partner system has refused the connection.

Resolution

Please verify the following:

- That the proper IPaddr/name and PORT specified for the remote partner is valid

- Make sure that the XCOM port on the remote partner is listening for traffic

- Make sure that there are no firewalls blocking XCOM traffic.
