UIM Upgrade - after modifying uimserverpackages.zip file the checksum validation fails

Issue/Introduction

At times it may be necessary to override the md5 checksum for the uimserverpackages.zip file.

For example, in some secure environments, antivirus software will remove the passwords embedded in the uimserverpackages.zip file. After doing that, the checksum of the file changes and installation fails

Can this be overridden?

 

Resolution

In UIM 20.4 CU8 or higher and UIM 23.4.0 or higher, it is possible to override the checksum.

This should be done with caution as the checksum exists to verify the integrity of the file not only to ensure a successful installation but to ensure that the probes/packages have not been modified by a third party for nefarious reasons.   Only proceed if you are sure that the uimserverpackages.zip you are working with has not been compromised.
