Post Upgrade: Performance of Datamart Extraction Job Takes Longer

Issue/Introduction

Datamart Extraction job is after upgrading from 15.9.2 to 16.0.3.

It was taking around 30-35 mins to complete to 50 minutes.

 

Environment

Release : 16.0.3

Resolution

Have DBA team review the AWR or statspack reports.

In one reported case, NBI_PRT_FACTS (~89 million records) table population took most time
Review the execution plan taken by the correlated Datamart Extraction job query.
Review and accept the best execution plan produced from the SQL Tuning advisor. Afterwards, the job is completing under 36 minutes.
