Error RC(124) installing XCOM on Docker

Issue/Introduction

Trying to install XCOM Data Transport on Docker--by following the installation manual:

When running the sh to install, the following error occurred: 

 

 

RC(124) - cannot connect to Broadcom Repository:xcom.packages.broadcom.com

Environment

OS:  Linux Docker.

Cause

Possible reasons for failure are: 

 

 

. Firewall limitations between Linux server and Broadcom repository

 

. Token is expired

Resolution

These are possible issues with the "Install XCOM Docker Using the Broadcom Docker Repository" approach and this connectivity

 

issue can be circumvented by following the "Install XCOM Docker Using the TAR File" approach.
