Issue/Introduction

Currently using RACF IDs and Passwords to logon to IDMS. I am now changing to using RACF Passphrase. Getting error message:

C999999 CAS9031E - FUNCTION(SIGNON  ) PASSWORD GIVEN IS NOT AUTHORIZED

PTFs SO05694 and  SO04635  already applied.

Environment

Release : 19.0

Resolution

Apply the latest PTFs and their pre-reqs to the modules involved in passphrase processing LU05557 and LU01065

Also apply the latest PTF to RHDCSSFM which has code for external security, PTF LU04910.

Run CAIRIM to refresh module RHDCSSFM. Article 30689 - Procedure when a PTF updates any of the APFLIB modules explains how to do this.

The latest RHDCSSFM is backward compatible with all previous maintenance but it does require the CV to be down to install it, see documentation section Refreshing Required Modules.

When a module-name is refreshed, all CVs and batch Jobs that are using the module being refreshed must be ended before the REFRESH. When the module has been refreshed, CVs and batch jobs can be restarted.

If you can't bring down the CVS then you will need to wait until the next IPL.
