Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to Messaging Gateway (SMG) 10.8.0 or 10.8.1 the Expunger scheduled tasks do not run on the expected schedule what can lead to a lack of space for Content Incident Folders.

Environment

Release: 10.8.0, 10.8.1.

Resolution

  1. Log into the Messaging Gateway Control Center as an administrator
  2. Go to the Status > System > Scheduled Tasks > Expungers.
  3. Select the failed Expunger type of job from the list. This will take you to the expunger configuration page
  4. Click save to reset the expunger configuration.

The workaround must be applied only once, it survives a reboot of the physical/virtual assets or SMG stack restart.
