UIM spectrumgtw probe not forwarding alerts into Spectrum

Issue/Introduction

• UIM SPECTRUMGTW probe not forwarding alerts into Spectrum
• Logging set to level 5 and not seeing events going through spectrumgtw log.

 

Environment

• Release: DX UIM 20.3.3
• spectrumgtw 8.69 HF3

Resolution

1. Deactivate spectrumgtw

2. Delete the spectrumgtw cache folder

3. Deactivate ems

4. rename the ems db to db.old2

Set trace logging for spectrumgtw as per this Article:
How to enable trace debug level logging for the UIM Spectrum Gateway

5. Activate ems

6. Activate spectrumgtw

7. Check the spectrumgtw.log but note you have to check it in the probes\gateway\spectrumgtw\logs folder

8. Check alarm.log there as well

9. Checked alarm sync in Spectrum - working as expected.

Issue resolved.
