Issue/Introduction

How to interpret data in ODF_SSL_CST_DTL_FCOST table as the slice start and end dates are different when compared to other Cost Plan details table like ODF_SSL_CST_DTL_COST.

Environment

Release : 16.1.1

Resolution

ODF_SSL_CST_DTL_FCOST is for Forecast slice data. Forecast equals actual cost if it's in the past compared to the current period and Forecast equals Planned cost if it's in the future.

Few things to note on this are.

1. For past periods the start and end date of the slice would be of the date of the transaction. Ex :- if an actual transaction has been posted with cost of 1000 on 1st January the slice start and finish dates would be 1st Jan & 2nd Jan respectively, instead of the fiscal period used for creating the cost plan.

2. For future periods the start and end date of the slice are determined based on the fiscal period used for creating the cost plan.
