Suddenly getting Endevor BC1PSVCS: E010 ENDEVOR RACF ID INIT ERRORs

Issue/Introduction

No changes were made to RACF or Endevor today and now suddenly started receiving the following errors: 

BC1PSVCS: E010 ENDEVOR RACF ID INIT ERROR - 0008/0028/0000,
BC1PSVCS: E010 - <Endevor Altid> /XXXXXXXX/XXXXXXXX,

 

Have no idea from a security standpoint what has changed or is causing this failure.

Resolution

The BC1PSVCS  error indicates that the Endevor ALTID does not have the necessary authority to do its job.

If there have been no changes to RACF/ACF2/Top Secret and no changes to Endevor,   one possibility is the Endevor ALTID is in a RACF or Top Secret REVOKE state or in a  ACF2 SUSPEND status.    

If the ALTID has been Revoked or Suspended, consult with your security administrator to correct the Endevor ALTID status.

 

Additional Information

The message BC1PSVCS: E010 ENDEVOR RACF ID INIT ERROR indicates an error in the initialization of the ALTID.  The RACROUTE returned nonzero RC and RSNCD.
