After upgrading to EINE v19 Batch getting Invalid Password errors

Issue/Introduction

Upgraded to V19 and now batch jobs are getting the following error -

  ICH408I USER(USER123)  GROUP(GP2300 )  NAME(USERGRP)
    LOGON/JOB  INITIATION - INVALID PASSWORD
  IRR013I  VERIFICATION FAILED.  INVALID PASSWORD GIVEN.

 

The UEXIT00 parameter +UEXIT00-RJE-GEN-USERID-PASSWORD was set to False prior to the upgrade and if it is changed to True, get a JES error that USER and PASSWORD are required. 

 

What else could be the problem?

Environment

Release : 18.1 and 19.0

Resolution

 If the password is entered in uppercase when logging on to EINE and the batch job runs successfully, then need to apply the RACF NOMIXEDCASE support PTFs:

V18.1 - LU10915 and LU12652

V19.0 - LU10905 and LU12613 

 

If it is not related to the case of the password, open a support case on the Broadcom Support Portal
