Spectrum Network Observability

Issue/Introduction

We noticed that if an AP is removed from one WLC (not moved to another WLC, and the IP address is not forwarded to another AP, but deleted from DNA), it is not deleted from Spectrum.

One can see in Spectrum that it has fewer APs managed on WLC than what was automatically modeled in Spectrum:

Could you please help us, what setting/attribute/anything else controls the automatic deletion of APs?

Automatic deletion during Scheduled Discovery Time would be self-evident to me, and/but I can't find any information from deleting of APs on site of Broadcom.

Environment

Release : Any
Component: WLC Manager

Cause

When Access Points are removed from the network and no longer managed by the Wireless Controller, Spectrum does not automatically delete the Pingable AP model.

Resolution

You must manually delete the Pingable AP models that have been removed from the network.

Additional Information

As of Spectrum 23.3.12 there is an option for Automatic Deletion of Unmanaged Access Points
