When submitting batch jobs with an 8 character ACID, the ACID gets truncated to 7 characters and the following error messages are received:
TSS7250E 157 J=jobname A=acid TYPE=ALT-ACID RESOURCE=truncatedacid TSS7271E Job Submit/ACID Authorization Denied. ACID <acid> Not Authorized for Your Use
Top Secret Control Option SUBACID(U,7) is specified.
With Top Secret Control Option SUBACID(U,7) specified, only the first 7 characters of the ACID will be used for the batch signon.
This will cause the:
TSS7250E 157 J=jobname A=acid TYPE=ALT-ACID RESOURCE=trucatedacid TSS7271E Job Submit/ACID Authorization Denied. ACID <acid> Not Authorized for Your Use
because the submitting ACID is usually not permitted to the truncated ACID.
To temporarily get around the problem, PERMIT the acid to the truncated acid.
Example :
TSS PERMIT(ACID123) ACID(ACID12)
For a permanent solution, change SUBACID(U,7) to SUBACID(U,8). This will allow the entire 8 character ACID to be used.
