Excessive CPU usage by Top Secret module TSSAENCR

Issue/Introduction

There is excessive CPU usage on the DB2 DIST address space by TSS module TSSAENCR. How should this be resolved?

Resolution

In order to decrease the CPU that is consumed by AES256 (TSSAENCR) encryption, either:

1) Apply Top Secret 16.0 fix LU10073.

2) Activate the Top Secret control option AESCACHE. To activate AESCACHE issue 'TSS MODIFY AESCACHE(ON)'.
