Issue/Introduction

PAM 4.1.X and above releases provide the possibility of changing the ActiveMQ password

However, not every customer has PAM SC endpoints of Utility appliances deployed. The question arises as to what the impact would be in PAM if that password is changed in the PAM GUI

Environment

CA PAM 4.1.X and above

Resolution

ActiveMQ password is being used by this component, which is deployed once a Utility appliance and a Utility Group are deployed.

It they are not deployed, it does not matter what value the ActiveMQ password has got, since no component in PAM is using it.

Thus the password can be changed or simply left alone: there will be no impact on a CA PAM system without PAM SC deployed.
