APM10.8.0.64SP1.jar EM fails when it tries to update Webview

Issue/Introduction

We have just upgraded Introscope 10.7 to Introscope 10.8 and in order to fix the time it takes to start the servers (running Introscope 10.8), we are applying the fix APM10.8.0.64SP1.jar.

We have several EM servers and we have applied successfully the hotfix APM10.8.0.64SP1.jar in our MoM server (which contains also WebView apart from Enterprise Manager).

But when try to apply the fix to a collector (which hasn't got WebView installed in it), the fix complains and fails because there is a file called: Introscope_WebView.lax

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Environment

Release : 10.8

Cause

An old Webview install was causing the issue 

 

 

Resolution

Delete/remove the old Webview install folder and run the APM10.8.0.64SP1.jar again.
