Issue/Introduction

The following error is seen in the Validation Server log (in DEBUG mode) after upgrading to VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.10.0 (shared-secret mismatch errors may also be seen):

Environment

VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.10.0 

Cause

The password is not properly decrypted by the validation server with the shared secret, resulting in a shared-secret mismatch error. 

Resolution

This issue is resolved by upgrading to Enterprise Gateway on Linux from the existing 9.10.0 to 9.10.1 or later.
