Issue/Introduction

The CAILMP command returns messages like the following ones:

AD   * Code not found in LMPCODES                            1500  AUTH
CA   * Code not found in LMPCODES                            1500  AUTH

Environment

Release : 17.0

Cause

The CAILMP command in SYSVIEW is used to display CA Common Services for z/OS LMP code exceptions and violation information.

The LMPCODES parmlib member is used to associate a text product description with a Common Components and Services (CCS) two-character LMP code.

If LMPCODES does not contain the Product description for a two-character LMP code then a message like the following one is issued when using the CAILMP command:

(Assuming that the product description for the two-character LMP code AD is not found in the LMPCODES member of the parmlib.

AD   * Code not found in LMPCODES                            1500  AUTH

Resolution

Follow these steps

  1. Use the LIBS command in Sysview to display information about SYSVIEW product libraries and data sets.
  2. Check the libraries associated with PARMLIB
  3. The library SYSTEM must point to the latest version.
  4. If it is the latest version then check if there are SITE or USER libraries. Probably one of the SITE or USER libraries has an old version of LMPCODES member
