Create Default Alarm Policies in Disabled State
DX UIM has further improved the default alarm policy functionality. Now, you have the ability to decide whether you want the default alarm policies to be created in the disabled state when the enhanced profiles are created. A new MCS raw configuration parameter is now available that helps you achieve this behavior. You no longer need to go to the UI to manually disable each default policy if you do not need it. By using this configuration, you can ensure that all the default policies are created in the disabled state.
This enhancement also helps you reduce the alarm noise. For example, if the default policies are not serving your business requirements, you can set the configuration so that the default policies are created in the disabled state. You can then create your own custom alarm policies depending on your scenarios. This way, you can reduce the alarm noise and can manage your alarms more efficiently as you receive only the relevant alarms.
Then you can use alarm policies and conditions to meet this requirement.
Manage Alarms with Centralized Alarm Policies
Note that alarm policies are only enabled when configuring "Enhanced" MCS profiles.
- Here is an example of the naming convention-> "setup cdm (Enhanced)".
