After upgrade to APM 10.8 SP1, EM has stopped writing the logging to its custom location

Issue/Introduction

We have installed sp1, after installation we have found that the EM log has stopped writing to our custom location. We have checked the configuration file and it is correctly configured. 

 

Environment

• Release: 10.8 SP1

Cause

log4j was replaced by logback in 10.8 SP1 so they can configure the logging in these files:

 

logback-em.xml

logback-wv.xml

logback-ws.xml

 

The log4j properties in IntroscopeEnterpriseManager.properties are not valid anymore.

 

CA Application Performance Management - 10.8 - Uses logback for logging

Resolution

Configure the logging in these files: logback-em.xml, logback-wv.xml and logback-ws.xml.
