No events showing in the Portal after setting up HTTPS for EM, DM, and Portal

Error seen in the karaf.log

Marshalling Error: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Performance Management releases

Cause

The Data Aggregator does not trust the certificate that Event Manager is presenting when it is trying to push events to EM

Resolution

Import the Portal certificate (and cert chain if applicable) into the DA truststore:

• If the data aggregator is using HTTP, import the CA root and intermediate certificates into the data aggregator  
  cacerts
    file.
• If the data aggregator is HTTPS-enabled, import the CA root and intermediate certificates into the data aggregator truststore.
