Issue/Introduction

Message ESP1072W 99% CI usage, 100% CA usage, 240 extents 

Process required for delete/define of METRICS VSAM data set

Environment

Cause

ESP METRICS VSAM data set usage threshold has been crossed.

Resolution

1. Define a METRICS Archive VSAM data set with same attributes as the Primary.
2. In Page mode enter command 'OPER METRICS OFF'
3. Comment out COPY / DELETE / GENCSV) steps from CYBPM002 Utility (in CD7YJCL library)
4. Omit Start date (SD) and End Date (ED) parameters, to ensure all records are copied.
5. Run the CYBPM002 job, it should only be an ARCHIVE step.
6. Once CYBPM002 has been completed successfully, use standard IDCAMS to delete/define the METRICS Primary data set (with the same name)
7. In Page mode enter command 'OPER METRICS ON'
