Symantec Directory: Does the CA Directory servers need JAVA?

Issue/Introduction

You may see a java folder jdk1.8.0_XXX under you $DXHOME folder on Linux (RHEL) Symantec Directory server and wonder if the software is required for Symantec Directory to run correctly or not. Or should you need to upgrade to latest version of JAVA to address any/all vulnerabilities.

The answer is no. Symantec Directory (aka DXserver) is not dependent or require JAVA.
