Issue/Introduction

VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.10.2 and 9.11 Validation Server RADIUS response includes the RADIUS Attribute:

92 of len 42 [ACCESS_CHALLENGE_FOR_NUMBER_CHALLENGE_PUSH]

Resolution

This additional attribute was added to RADIUS access-request responses in VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.10.2 (and later) to accommodate the VIP PUSH number challenge feature. This is working as designed. If this causes interference with valid Access-Accept responses, contact your NAS, firewall, or other RADIUS client vendor for guidance on ignoring this attribute in the response.

 

Additional Information

This attribute is removed automatically on VIP Enterprise Gateway version 9.11.1. If upgrading is not possible a hotfix is available for 9.10.2 and 9.11.0.
