Issue/Introduction

Many imaging administrators chose to customize the default local administrator profile (.\administrator) and use the customized profile as a template for new users.

However, it is unclear how this can be done after capturing an image with a customized administrator profile.

Environment

DS 8.x

GSS 3.3 RUx

Windows 10 and 11 image deploy

Resolution

For Windows profile customization questions please refer to Microsoft documentation and support. The following article from Microsoft has information about the use of 'CopyProfile' and its use with Sysprep:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/customize/desktop/unattend/microsoft-windows-shell-setup-copyprofile

You can use CopyProfile successfully in both Windows 10 and 11 Sysprep image deployments. Follow best practices when capturing a Sysprep image with Deployment Solution or Ghost Solution suite
