Issue/Introduction

A custom authentication scheme redirects the user to a page that allows them to update a user store attribute after providing their credentials.

SiteMinder is not picking up the updated value for the attribute.

Environment

Release : 12.8.x

Cause

The sequence to update the attribute is not happening in time for the attribute to be updated prior to SM reading the attributes.

Resolution

When checked manually, the user store attribute has been updated in the store.

A delay could be introduced to allow time for the attribute to be updated in the user store before SM queries for the attributes from the user store.

This would be up to the system administrator as SM support does not provide support for custom authentication schemes.
