Move over-deployed clients from Symantec Endpoint Security Complete to Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise or vice-versa.

Issue/Introduction

There are situation observed with over-deployed clients on Symantec Endpoint Security Cloud but we have sufficient count of license available on different subscription i.e. either Symantec Endpoint Security Complete(SESC) or Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise(SESE). We can move such over-deployed clients from Symantec Endpoint Security Complete(SESC) to Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise(SESE) or vice-versa.

Resolution

Follow below steps:

Create a new device group and move all over-deployed clients.

1) Navigate to SES Console.

2) Select Settings -> Subscriptions

Note: Below snapshot is for reference and do not show two different subscription.

3) Select a Group to Symantec Endpoint Security Complete/Enterprise depending where over-deployed clients needs to be activated -> Edit Groups -> Highlight new group

4) Select a Group to Apply Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise

5) Validate clients are moved and confirm Total Seats count is utilized for correct subscription.
