Issue/Introduction

How to remove the old SOI connector and all of the devices created by it. 

 

Environment

Release : 4.2

Resolution

The steps are below:

1- Stop the Catalyst Container service in the connector servers.

2- Stop all SOI services in order to use the soitoolbox utility to delete all data from the old connectors.

3- Use the soitoolbox to run the below command
soitoolbox.exe -x -t 600 -b 600 --cleanImportedData --connector=<CA:connector name>
example: soitoolbox.exe -x -t 600 -b 600 --cleanImportedData --connector=CA:00005_ SCOM 

4- Restart all SOI services.

5- Once everything comes online including the connectors. in the Administration page, select the old connector and click Remove Connector.
