Issue/Introduction

Trying to download Broadcom PTFs via SMP/E Internet Service Retrieval, but the job fails (RC 16) due to the following SMP/E error:

GIM45500S ** VERIFICATION OF HASH VALUE OF FILE SMPHOLD/S0001.CAORDER.ORDER.P15116.P85.SMPHOLD.pax.Z FAILED. SMP/E WILL
             NOT RETRY FILE RETRIEVAL.                                                                                 

 

Cause

Usually a temporary problem on the download servers.

Resolution

Rerun the SMP/E Internet Service Retrieval job after some time.  If the problem persists, open a case on the Broadcom support portal
