Commands in actions.sxp or uactions.sxp not visible on desktop

Issue/Introduction

In SXP Package, the commands set in actions.sxp and uactions.sxp are not visible on user desktop.

This is the default behavior.

But how display the action on desktop user ? (for example to display a message).

Resolution

The behavior to display user actions could be configured by setting this parameter: StartUpInfoDesktop

Either:

- On the Agent, in file C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\DSM\Bin\sxpeng32.ini under [Program] section :

or

- In SXP package in file info.sxp under #Product# section :

StartUpInfoDesktop=0 means no windows appear on user desktop
StartUpInfoDesktop=1 means display user actions on desktop

The default value of this parameter is 0.

Behavior can be changed either on a per-package basis, in the info.sxp file, or generally for the target system using the file sxpeng32.ini.
