Issue/Introduction

What do I do if I get the following error ?

Unable to launch the Web Console (WAC).The following error occurs: "Unable to connect to Web Services (50)".

Environment

Client Automation - All Versions

Resolution

Please reinstall the Web Console (WAC) and Web Services:

1.- Run ITCM 14.5 installed on your DM, select "Modify".
2.- Keep moving forward and you'll reach to the point where is shown a list of features currently installed.
3.- Here unselect Patch Management, Web Console and Web Services (in this exact order):
4.- Finish with the configuration and now these 3 components were removed.
5.- Reboot the DM server.
6.- Once up again, run the installer, and follow the same steps (selecting Modify), and  move forward until you see the list of components.
7.- Here select the same components, but in the reverse order: Web Services, Web Console and Patch Management.
8.- Finish the installation.

NOTE: If you currently have any CU installed on the Domain Manager, after reinstalling all 3 components, please re install that particular CU again.

Additional Information

In certain cases the 'Modify' option is not available and only the 'Upgrade' option is available, the 'Modify' option is available only if the original installation media is used.

If only 'Upgrade' option is available run the 'Upgrade' first followed by the 'Modify' option, after the upgrade is successful, the 'Modify' option will be available.
