How do we create the required SCRT reports for Broadcom when we migrate from IBM z/VSE to 21CS z/VSEn now that IBM will be dropping support for VSE as of the end of September 2023.
Whether you are running IBM’s z/VSE or 21CS z/VSEn you are required to generate and submit Broadcom SCRT complete reports for machines(CPCs) running Broadcom software.
21CS z/VSEn
Only use IBM's SCRT utility to produce reports for CPCs that run either IBM’s z/VSE or 21CS z/VSEn. Be aware that 21CS supplies an alternate SCRT utility that is not supported, you must use IBM’s SCRT and you must use the latest release.
The current release information for IBM’s SCRT including download information can be found in IBM’s Sub-Capacity reporting Tool (SCRT) Current Levels Guide:

Information on generating and collecting the SCRT89 records can be found in the IBM Sub-Capacity reporting Tool (SCRT) Current Levels User Guide:
https://www.ibm.com/downloads/cas/P9RDWLAX
IBM’s SCRT can be run on Windows, Linux or z/OS.
You must also have a current copy of the Product Catalog which can be provided by support if necessary. The access to this report, if you have access to Box is here:

In summary:
Collect the complete raw data, SCRT89 records, from all the z/VSE or VSEn instances for the reporting period.
Obtain the latest version of the Broadcom Product Catalog XML file from either Common Components and Services for z/OS or from this Box link. If you can’t obtain the product catalog from those sources then open a support issue and CCS support will email you the file.
If you don’t have access to z/OS then run IBM’s SCRT on either Windows or Linux.
