Different task positions for same project in CLARITY MUX timeline vs Gantt

Issue/Introduction

In a project there is a difference between presentation of tasks on MUX timeline and Gantt -

Example are tasks from TS00017136 until TS00017143 (WBS sort 196 - 203) which are in NUX timeline inserted between WBS sort 106 and 107 instead of expected position after WBS sort 195.

Is it possible to reset NUX timeline to show task ordering as in Gantt?

Cause

Under review for definitive way replicating issue

 

 

Resolution

The Tasks Timeline view is sorted by "WBS" and "WBS Sort" fields. The sort order should ideally match as found while ordering/reordering Tasks through PPM Gantt. The following steps can were tried if WBS Sort order is not matching with the order found in gantt or the sequence as seen prtask table:

• XOG out and in of affected Project 
  -xog out file shows the correct order and as seen in gantt-
• Running SP (PRJ_WBS_UPDATE_SP) with affected project id as parameter. 
  -No change in wbs sort order- 
• Finally tried installing OWB and opening concerned project in OWB and simply opened project and saved it back -- Issue resolved- Gantt order and clarity timeline view now matches.
