SEP Mobile Battery Optimization permission does not change battery settings on OnePlus devices

Issue/Introduction

When enrolling OnePlus devices in a SEP Mobile environment where the Android Battery Optimization permission has been set to Mandatory, it is observed that despite being prompted to enable Battery Optimization during activation of the SEP Mobile app, following activation the battery management settings are not configured properly (i.e. SEP Mobile is still listed as an app which will be put to sleep by the OS to save battery).  

Environment

OnePlus Android devices enrolled in a SEP Mobile console with the Battery Optimization permission set to Mandatory.  

Cause

SEP Mobile's Battery Optimization permission does not currently support OnePlus devices.  

Resolution

The SEP Mobile Development team is currently researching this issue and will work to implement improvements to Battery Optimization.  Please check this article again in the future for additional updates.
