Layer7 API Gateway v11.0 Appliance on Oracle Virtual Box

Issue/Introduction

API Gateway Admin attempting to import our Gateway 11 OVA into Oracle Virtual Box for a test environment.

However everytime they boot up, it is asking for an Operating System boot disk.

Environment

Release : 11.0

Resolution

Our Gateway 11 is on debian 11 -> the first release that supports this OS Oracle VM 7.0.8:

Also after importing us as a Virtual Appliance, you must go into:

Virtual Machine (Our Gateway) >> Settings >> System >> Extended Features:

Here you have to check off:

Enable I/O APIC

and:

Enable EFI (special OSes only).

Additional Information

FYI This can work however the API Gateway does not support Oracle VirtualBox for virtualization.
