Issue/Introduction

Ghost Solution Suite installed on Windows Server 2012 R2 is not supported with use of the WinPE11 ADK version 10.1.22621.1.

When WinPE11 ADK version 10.1.22621.1 is imported to GSS installed on a Windows Server 2012 R2, you can successfully build boot disks, Automation Folders, and PXE configurations. However, there will likely be missing binaries which cause issues with imaging.

Cause

Server 2012 R2 has reached end of life and osno longer be supported by Microsoft as of October 10th 2023. The latest WinPE 11 ADK was not intended for use with Server 2012 R2 for this reason.

Resolution

Broadcom recommends migrating anyGSS installations on Windows Server 2012 to a later supported version of Server OS. Ghost Solution Suite 3.3 RU10 is supported for installation on Server 2012 R2. However, version 10.1.22000.1 or earlier of the ADK is required for imaging. Ghost Solution Suite does not support in-place OS upgrades with GSS installed.
