One of our Web Viewers has suddenly stopped allowing users to log on the web viewer, producing the following message:
Database connection can not be established. Contact your System Administrator.
ConnectException: Error opening socket to server ........with message:
EDC8128I Connection refused. (Connection refused). ERRORCODE=-4499, SQLSTATE=08001 Error Code: -4499
Timeouts due to DB2 being unavailable.
Speaking to the DB2 team resolved the issue. Issue was related to DB2 shutdown on another system. Restarting the task resolved the problem.
