CA Privileged Access Manager (PAM)

Issue/Introduction

You accidentally deleted a device with target applications and accounts on it. You need to recover the accounts to be able to get the current password and password history. You know the hostnames, device names, device IDs, application IDs, account names, account IDs. Is there a way to recover the accounts with password history?

Resolution

If your environment allows access to the PAM servers via SSH Debugging Services, PAM Support can assist you with creating a new device, undeleting the target applications and accounts, and linking them to the new device.

After this the accounts are listed on the Credentials > Manage Targets > Accounts page again and you can view their passwords and password history.
